This playful bottle has been talk of the town recently. It houses the first eau de parfum of fashion label Miu Miu and everyone wants to know how the DNA of the brand is translated into a scent. In my opinion, the fragrance represents Miu Miu at its best: it’s playful, edgy and very elegant at the same time.
When I first smelled the scent, I smelled something I knew, but with a very unique twist to it. It’s a floral fragrance that touches a spicy accord as well. What surprised me the most, is that the fragrance doesn’t really evolve during the day – which isn’t a bad thing, it stays with me in all its glory. It’s one of the few fragrances I’ve tried, that smelled as bright in the morning as in the evening on me. Very rare.
Lily of the Valley, Jasmine, Rose, Green Notes, Akigalawood (patchouli), Pepper & Oud
On to the ingredients then. The heart is created by Lily of the Valley, surrounded by different flowers and the unique Akigalawood, a fractioned note of patchouli. This gives a twist to the fragrance that makes it way more interesting than it seems to be on first sight. It’s fresh but at the same time, also intense.
I like how it wears on me, I get a very energetic vibe from it and I like how I catch hints of the fragrance during the day in my hair, in my scarf and so on – all giving me the same strong perfume that I’ve applied in the morning. It’s a winner for me, this Miu Miu fragrance, thanks to the edgy touch and of course, the stunning bottle. What are your thoughts?
