Shiseido Synchro Skin Illuminator
Shiseido and highlighter might not be two words you’d use together. But as it turns out, it’s a pretty good match. This Synchro Skin Illuminator exists with a golden or a pink finish to it. This is the golden one and it’s that highlighter that you can mix with your base but also use on its own, to make those cheekbones pop. The latter is my favourite use for this one and this highlighter works best for the high points on the face in my opinion. Subtle but present, as all things Shiseido.
Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Soft Light
This is the heavy duty highlighter, the one for parties and nights out. Or for a flawless finish on a makeup day. The shade Champagne Doré has a gorgeous golden finish without sparkle or glitter, just a 100% glowiness. I love to use it on my cheekbones, my nose bridge and even in the corners of my eyes. I’m a fan of the fine tube packaging too, it makes it easy to work with.
Giorgio Armani Fluid Sheer in 2 Beige
Imagine the excitement when I tried this one for the first time! Armani is known for its fluid formulas and the house knows how to create glowy skin. This is a huge bottle, filled with a truly multifunctional product. I’m a big fan of its effect mixed with a high coverage foundation such as the Armani Power Fabric one. A small drop gets you that glow from within. It’s just right for my skin tone and type. I’ve also used it as a highlight on my cheekbones and that works as a dream too. Best allround highlighter of the four, is definitely this one.
Elizabeth Arden 8-hour cream
Not your traditional highlighter, right? But definitely an option if you’re going for that innocent, glowy look. I’ve been using the Eight Hour Cream as a highlight and a lip balm on days where I wore minimal makeup and felt dewy. (Yes, it’s a state of mind.) I loved the idea of using this as a highlighter, thanks to its rich formula and shiny finish, it works better than you’d think.
