Dior is nailing it lately, at least for me. Peter Philips seems on a roll and when I heard they were introducing a new kind of lipstick, my excitement level went through the roof. (As you would expect from me, right?)
The Dior Addict Lacquer sticks were launched with a bang. They’re already available and all fabulous, rocked in every shade by the beautiful Jennifer Lawrence. The formula is a true lacquer, something between a lipstick, a balm and a gloss.
I love a well pigmented formula so the intensity of these doesn’t scare me. I like their effect and their longevity. Out of 877 Turn me Dior (the red) and 924 Sauvage, the first one is my favourite. They’re very playful, I have to say. I think I would like to pick up a nude-like pink in this collection, I believe that would make for a sophisticated pout.
A little bit before these came out, Dior also launched some additions in my favourite collection, the Backstage Pros. I’m addicted to their Lip Glow and now they’ve released a limited edition Plum shade (006) – of course that was a must-have on my list.
I was intrigued by the Lip Sugar Scrub too, especially because lip scrubs like I know them come in a pot or a liquid formula but not in a stick. This one is thus easy to use and ideal to travel with, to prep your lips for a smooth application. I particularly like to use this before applying liquid lipstick – you can guess why.
In these shots, you also see the guest appearance from the beautiful Colour Gradation palette in Blue Gradation. It’s gorgeous to look at but my eyes don’t match that well with blue. It’s their limited edition palette for Spring, if you’re quick you might still be able to get this one or its coral sister.
What are your thoughts on Dior recently? Do you like what they’re doing? I’m also excited for the next thing they’re launching, here is a sneak peek of their Care & Dare Dior Summer Look 2017 – available around April 19th.
