Sigh. I know, right? I can’t help but smile when looking at this picture. It contains all my happiness, creativity and love for Tom Ford Beauty – that is now finally available in Belgium. (At Parfuma, that is.) Next week, I’m going to get my makeup done by the Tom Ford pro’s – stay tuned for that one, but in the meantime, let’s go over my wishlist.
First of all, I wanted to try a base product and I just picked up their newest foundation. I don’t know if it’s the very best for my skin but with high coverage and waterproof, we are at least up for a good start. It’s the Waterproof Foundation + Concealer in the shade Ivory. I still have to try it but I can’t seem to part with the new Giorgio Armani launch, Power Fabric. Even better than Luminous Silk – but that’s a whole other story.
To enhance my complexion, I chose the Cheek Color in Disclosure. It’s a beautiful berry that looks chic and playful at the same time. And when I saw the Cheek Brush, I was only kidding myself when I thought “I don’t need this in my life”. I’m curious about their Shade & Illuminate Cheek duo’s as well, I’m excited to discover them next week.
On to eyes where I was blown away by the quality of the Color Quads. Nude Dip and Honeymoon are what my makeup dreams are made of. The packaging is just, dare I say on fleek and the shadows on their own are absolutely drool-worthy. When you’re at a counter, swatch them and you’ll see what I mean. Together with the Shadow Blend Brush that does the work for you, these are my partners in crime for every occasion.
I also still could feel the hype around the Cream Color for Eyes in Spice and since it’s such a versatile colour that substitutes as a base for Nude Dip, it makes a staple in my kit. Now, on to my weak spot (you wouldn’t say huh?), lips.
When I saw the Shade & Illuminate launch for Summer for the first time, I think I took a gazillion screenshots because I needed to know how I could get my hands on these. I have my favourite shades Impulse and Saboteur, of which the first is the nude option and the second the bold one. You can wear them colour by colour or you can create a beautiful lip ombre.
Tom Ford lipsticks are pretty iconic and I already have a few of them but I never tried their Lip Contour Duos. It’s lipstick and lip pencil in complementary shades, in one. Here you see Make Me and I’ll Teach You, both pretty bold and just absolutely stunning. They’re creamy but last a while thanks to the lip pencil.
During the day, I always like to touch up with some gloss, Tom Ford’s Ultra Shine Gloss is very pigmented and juicy on the lips – just the way I like it. I chose Love Bruise, the perfect colour to combine with all of these and to add some oomph to your day.
As soon as I’ve got the tips and tricks by the pro’s down, I’m more than happy to create some swatches and a look. How do you ladies feel about Tom Ford makeup?
