When I received this very exciting MAC package filled with candy it made my day – and gave me a sugar rush. But I wasn’t sure if the contents were for me though. There was the pink bottle filled with the iconic Candy YumYum fragrance equivalent staring at me. And I was a little scared of its sweetness.
In I went, digging up the beautiful shade that’s the Candy YumYum lipstick. I literally can’t wait to rock this one on a Summer day. Then I read about the fragrance, a “fruity floral gourmand”. That’s like, all different classifications in one.
I remembered trying the new MAC Shadescents at a press event and finding them all very sweet. But given, they look adorable and I had this one, I went for it and spritzed it on my wrist. Only to find myself sniffing it all evening!
It smells like a flashback to when I was 16 and in love with life – and makeup. It’s a beautiful scent that’s – against all my expectations – not overly sweet and has tropical fruits and pink guava at the heart. When I wore this, on its own or just a whiff on my wrist, people compliment me that this fragrance really suits me.
It feels very me after all and this is why you shouldn’t just skip these Shadescents. When you’re near a MAC Store, go in and try them – who knows you find a flashback to your youth.
PS. And yes. That limited edition Velvet Teddy just had to happen.
